Everyday Life of the Early Church - Kingaroy Cowboy Church - Tim Kelly [25:25m]: Play Now | Play in Popup | DownloadHi Everyone,
Just letting you know that over the last month or so we have had some guest speakers and different things happening at the Church that haven’t been recorded. We will be starting the recorded sermons again this week.
Thanks
The seventh and last in our ‘What We Believe’ series. Matt Kelly in this teaching shows us what we believe about The Church from the Scriptures.
The Church
We believe that the church, which is the body and bride of Christ, is a spiritual organism made up of all born-again persons. We recognize believer’s baptism and the Lord’s supper as scriptural means of testimony for the church.
The Sixth in our ‘What We Believe’ series. Matt Kelly in this teaching shows us what we believe about Salvation from the Scriptures.
Salvation
We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by
personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for
the forgiveness of our sins
Tim Kelly speaks on ‘The Kingdom of God.’ Kingaroy Cowboy Church 22/02/09.
The fifth in our ‘What We Believe’ series. Matt Kelly in this teaching shows us what we believe about mankind from the Scriptures.
Man
We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, but that through
Adam’s sin the race fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God;
man is totally depraved and of himself utterly unable to remedy his lost condition.
The fourth in our ‘What We Believe’ series. Matt Kelly in this teaching shows us what we believe about Holy Spirit from the Scriptures.
The Holy Spirit
We believe that salvation, attested in all Scripture and secured by Jesus Christ, is applied to his people by the Holy Spirit. Sent by the Father and the Son, the Holy Spirit glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ, and is present with and in believers. He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and by his powerful and mysterious work regenerates spiritually dead sinners, awakening them to repentance and faith, baptizing them into union with the Lord Jesus, such that they are justified before God by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone. By the Spirit’s agency, believers are renewed, sanctified, and adopted into God’s family; they participate in the divine nature and receive his sovereignly distributed gifts. The Holy Spirit is himself the down payment of the promised inheritance, and in this age indwells, guides, instructs, equips, revives, and empowers believers for Christ-like living and service.
The third in our ‘What We Believe’ series. Matt Kelly in this teaching shows us what we believe about Jesus from the Scriptures.
Jesus Christ
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful man. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice, and that our justification is made sure by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ ascended into heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God where, as our High Priest, He fulfills the ministry as Representative, Intercessor, and Advocate. We believe Jesus is coming again to judge the living and the dead.
