Do You Realize?

          Do you realize how very much God loves you? How desperately He desires you to be His very own child? Or that He has made the way for you to belong to Him eternally?

          You see, He sent His very own Son, Jesus Christ, to die just for you. When Jesus was crucified on a cross at a place called Calvary, He was not being punished for His sins (He is the sinless Son of God), but for your sins and mine. He has taken all the punishment that we deserve upon Himself so that we might go free and go to Heaven.

          The Bible tells us, “Yes, all have sinned…yet God declares us “not guilty” of offending Him if we trust in Jesus Christ, who in His kindness freely takes away our sins” (Romans 3:23-24 LB).

          Jesus arose from the grave on the third day after doing everything necessary to accomplish your eternal salvation. He sits in Heaven at the right hand of God the Father, just waiting for you to come to Him.

          You see, merely knowing what Jesus has done for you and who He is is not enough. You must personally RECEIVE Him into your heart and life, making Him your personal Lord & Saviour. The moment you do that you become a “born again” child of God according to John 3, verse 3. Born into the Kingdom of God and delivered from eternal death! A new, joyful life can be yours!

          The Bible promises in the Book of John, chapter 1, verse 12: “But to all who received Him, He gave the right to become children of God.”

          Will you receive Jesus? If so pray: “Lord Jesus, I see that You are the only Way to Heaven, for you took my sins upon Yourself and shed Your sinless Blood to save me from eternal hell and damnation. Forgive me, Lord. Come into my heart and be my Saviour and my Lord. I give my life to You. Teach me to know You. Direct me in Your will for my life. I receive all Your love, forgiveness and blessings. Thank you, Heavenly Father, that I am now Your child. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
